Don received a B.A. from St. Pauls College in 1970, an LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in 1973, received his call to the Bar in 1974 and was appointed Queens Counsel in 1995. Don has practiced law since 1974 and been a partner with the law firm of Booth Dennehy LLP or its predecessors since 1975.

Don is a Past President and former director of the Lions Manor Senior Citizens Home, Lions Place for Senior Citizens Ltd. and the Lions Gateway to Affordable Housing Inc. Board of Directors as well as Past Director and Vice-President of the Lions Club of Winnipeg. Don was the corporate counsel for the Lions Housing Centres for over 20 years. Don is also a past director of the C.N.I.B., St. Pauls High School, Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club Holding Company Limited and the Canadian Deafblind and Rubella Association. Don has served as an honorary solicitor of his community club, his church and the Guillain-Barre Syndrome Foundation of Canada Inc. providing general advice and counsel. Don coached ringette for 18 years and coached girl’s fastball for 8 years. He played in both the Law League in Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Men’s Slo-Pitch League during the summer months. Don curled for many years at the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club.

Don’s preferred areas of practice include Corporate/Commercial, Real Estate and Wills and Estates, while occasionally becoming involved in some civil and domestic matters.

Don married in 1970 and has one daughter.
